The closely adjoining buildings and the necessary measures for securing the river bed of the Lech severely limit the possibilities of a near-natural watercourse design in section 8. In order to achieve the good ecological potential according to the Water Framework Directive nevertheless, structure-enriching elements such as dead wood or groynes should be introduced along the banks and in the river bed as shelter for fish and other water organisms.The measures are part of the project Licca Liber.
