    The municipality of Lasarte - Oria has suffered numerous and catastrophic floods due to the flooding of the Oria River. In order to avoid future risks the river was channeled in 1995 but this necessary action had a negative environmental impact on the destruction of river habitat and degradation of spaces next to the river by various industrial settlements. The challenge was to naturalize the channeling wall without it losing its protective function while recovering the vegetation riverside and a green river park was created;

    Creation of a 9000 m² fluvial park with 750 riverside trees replanted, vegetated dyke.Implementation of pond refuge for aquatic birds;
